Issue/Introduction

  • Unused service mesh deletion fails at 40% with below error.
    Error Ref:
Service Mesh deletion failed. Interconnect Service Workflow InterconnectRemoveAppliance failed. Error:

Cause

While performing the Service Mesh deletion, HCX manager attempts to communicate with these unreachable endpoints to decommission them, leading to a task timeout and a stuck configuration state.

Resolution

Please proceed with gathering the below details and create a support request with Broadcom.

  • Provide HCX version for each connected site
  • Attempt to recall steps performed to remove service-mesh and compute-profile and what errors where thrown
  • Provide a time-stamp and error for the latest attempt to remove service-mesh and compute-profile.
  • Provide this Article ID# 429460

Additional Information

Before decommissioning HCX appliances, it is recommended to first remove the appliances through the Service Mesh workflow. This helps prevent stale references or residual entries on the peer HCX Manager.
