Adapter shows Warning status and state is stuck at Stopping

Issue/Introduction

• In VCF Operations, navigating to Administration > Integrations shows that the adapter status is Warning
• When the cursor is hovered over the Warning icon, the State is Stopping

Environment

• VCF Operations 9.0.x
• Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

1. Navigate to Infrastructure Operations > Configurations > Inventory Management

2. Clear any previously applied filters

3. Expand Adapter Instances and click on the appropriate adapter category

   Example: For a vCenter adapter, click the vCenter Server selection

4. Click on the adapter that is stuck in the Stopping state to highlight it

5. Click the Stop Collecting button (square icon) in the tool bar and wait for the Collection State to change to Not Collecting

   Tip: Hover the cursor over the icon in the Collection State column to see the current state

6. Click the adapter instance to select it and click the Start Collecting button (triangle icon) in the tool bar

7. Verify the Collection State changes to Collecting

   Tip: It may be necessary to click the Refresh button (circle arrow icon) in the top right corner of the window to update current status.
