File Events Stuck in "Checking" State with Wildcards (v24 Upgrade)

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading from Automic Automation v21 to v24.x, File Event (EVNT.FILE) objects may become stuck in a permanent "Checking" state. This behavior deviates from previous versions where the system would correctly log errors and transition through checking intervals.

Specifically, the event fails to:

• Progress to a "Sleeping" state between intervals.

• Update the "Next Check" timestamp.

• Generate report logs or error messages (e.g., U02000123) in the execution report.
