Additional lines are added to text and XML files checked out

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Harvest 14.5, we find that when checking out/in .sh and .txt files a line feed is being put in each line.

HCO and HCI command line utilities do not seem to experience the same issue, nor do files being used in an Eclipse workspace.

Appears to be isolated to files that Harvest designates as text files as files that Harvest believes are binary do not experience the same problem.

Environment

Harvest 14.5

Cause

 Double conversion/normalization of Unix style (\n) line ending to Windows style (\r\n)

Resolution

In most cases, updating to Harvest 14.5.01 should resolve the issue.

If the issue still exists in Harvest 14.5.01, please contact Broadcom Support for further assistance.
