Issue/Introduction

• Update Investment Allocation and Usage Job is stuck
• It is causing long running sessions in the Clarity DB
• It is also causing blocking sessions
• Multiple time entry locks are also noticed.

Cause

• The job is not the cause but a victim of a massive data change in the system
• The data change is concentrated on the prtimesheet and prassignment tables
• The job relies on prassignment table, amongst others, to get its data
• It updates only inv_investments table.

Resolution

• It is best to do data loads during non-working hours of a Production system.
