Question:

How to stop the Auxiliary Address Space?

 

Environment

CA WA ESP Edition 11.4 Z/OS

 

Answer: 

 

Following command can be issued before ESP STC is stopped:

F ESP,AUX_AS cancel

 

Additional Information:

When ESP needs to be restarted with parm=PURGE, above command should be issued.

"F ESP,ENCPARM QUIESCE" can be used to stop Encore from sending more requests to AUX_AS, but won't keep the existing data in AUX_AS.
