Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

How can a tablespace(object) be excluded from an existing Database Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PDA) Extract Procedure processing at the Database level?

Resolution

1. From PDA Main Menu, type or select EP for extract procedure and the BUILD EXTRACT PROCEDURES panel will display.

2. On the EXTRACT PROCEDURE SERVICES Panel, Select the extract with a "U" for update.

3. On the BUILD EXTRACT PROCEDURES Panel, enter the Database/Tablespace name as shown below.

 OBJECT SELECTION LIST PARAMETERS FOR SUBSYSTEM ==> <SSID>
 Database Level ==> MYDB001
 Table Space ==> *
 and hit ENTER.

4. Once the object is displayed, you will notice an "A" (for Autobuild) next to the Database. Specify an "E" for exclude next to the tablespace name that is to be excluded and hit PF3

5. To verify what objects are included in the extract procedure, issue the EXPLODE command with E next to the same extract procedure on the BUILD EXTRACT PROCEDURES
Panel and you will see the list of objects displayed in EXTRACT DATA LIST Panel.
