Issue/Introduction

Inability to complete ServiceNow integration successfully.

ServiceNow debug long run log will output the following errors in longrun-<date-of-the-log>-ServiceNowAdapter_<increment-log-number>.log

WARN syncWithCmdb.warn - Could not find required CMDB Identifier for resource VMWARE HostSystem: <FQDN>. Cannot sync it to the CMDB.

Environment

Aria Operations for Integrations

Cause

The required fields for identifying the Host System(s) exist in VCF Operations, but the management pack fails to sync them to ServiceNow. Currently, the ServiceNow Management Pack expects all identifiers across all ServiceNow Identification Rules to be populated and mandatory. There is a hotfix to change these parameters to as optional as long as one Identification Rule in ServiceNow is provided.

Resolution

Please reach out to Support if the error matches exactly as indicated from this KB.

Additional Information

This issue is very specific to ServiceNow Integration and should not be applicable to any other adapter integration.
