Navigating through Inventory within the VCF Operations UI shows Internal Server Error

Issue/Introduction

When navigating to Inventory > vCenters within the VCF Operations UI and utilizing the search function to filter or locate specific objects, the operation fails with below error:

 

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x

Cause

The search query fails to properly parse metadata results from the underlying database, leading to the "Internal Server Error" exception in the UI.

Resolution

This issue is known to us and is expected to be addressed in a future release of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1.x.

Workaround:
Manually search inventory objects by using the global search bar.
