Issue/Introduction

• After upgrading the VCF Management Components (VCF Operations and VCF Fleet Management) you attempt to upgrade the VCF Core Components (SDDC, NSX, vCenter).
• The VCF core components upgrade is scheduled but never progresses and the associated Tasks cancel immediately in VCF Operations, similar to this screenshot.
• Generating a log bundle in the SDDC manager fails with an error similar to:
  • "Found active workflow for OPERATIONS_MANAGER: Resource of type NSX locked by service ID: OPERATIONS_MANAGER and operations ID: 1234-5678-9999"

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x

Cause

There is a file locked in SDDC and this is preventing any action.

Resolution

Follow the steps to clear the locked file in SDDC and once cleared reschedule the upgrade in VCF Operations Fleet Management Lifecycle.
