Do I need to delete the primary hub wasp when upgrading DX UIM?

Issue/Introduction

In the upgrade Documentation located here Upgrade DX UIM Server it is stated that I have to delete the primary wasp when I upgrade DX UIM to the latest version.

Is this is needed and why is this needed? 

What issues do I face if I don't do those steps?

Resolution

No, you don't need to delete the wasp probe and redeploy it after during the upgrade. 

 

The steps highlighted in yellow below, related to removing the primary hub wasp are not needed and can be safely ignored.

If the primary hub wasp is not deleted, no known issue will raise to the primary wasp or to the OC Upgrade.
