Issue/Introduction

When using the VCF 9 (VMware Cloud Foundation) import tool to import a legacy Virtual Center and hosts (vSphere 8), what are the limitations for an environment?

Resolution

The following features are unavailable when importing a legacy vSphere 8 environment into VCF using the VCF Import Tool:

  • VCF Single Sign-On
  • Certificate Management
  • Password Management
  • Tag Management
  • Configuration Drift - vCenter
  • Configuration Drift - ESX
  • VCF Health Dashboard (Partial)

You can still perform all the vCenter/ESXi tasks you were able to prior to importing the environment into VCF.
