Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps to change a node's IP address in VCF 9.0 or later deployment.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x

Resolution

1. Log in to the VCF Operations Admin UI and take the cluster offline.
2. Take snapshots of all VCF Operations nodes and related component VMs (such as VCF Operations for Logs and VCF Automation).
   • Note: Ensure you do not select the option to include the virtual machine's memory.
3. Update the VCF Operations node IP addresses by following the steps in How to change IP Address on Aria Operations.
4. Bring the VCF Operations cluster back online and verify that the cluster status is Online.
5. Perform an inventory sync for each environment within the VCF Operations Fleet Management inventory UI to update the service registries with the new IP addresses.
6. Delete the snapshots once you have confirmed the environment is stable and performing as expected.
