VVF for VDI Lifecycle Support

Issue/Introduction

This article provides clarification regarding the lifecycle support status of VMware vSphere Foundation for VDI (VVF for VDI). It clarifies that we have not announced an End of Support (EoS) date for this product. The previously announced EoS date for vSphere Enterprise Plus version 8 does not apply to VVF for VDI (or its vSphere component).

Resolution

As of the date of this KB article (Feb-09-2026), Broadcom has not made any End-of-Service (EOS) or End-of-Life (EOL) announcements regarding VVF for VDI or any of its included components or capabilities, including its vSphere component. 

 

VVF for VDI is a standalone product with its own independent lifecycle, capabilities, components, and product roadmap; it is not a bundle of separate products.

The lifecycle and roadmap of VVF for VDI will continue to be independent of other products. Any future lifecycle updates regarding VVF for VDI will be made in accordance with Broadcom’s support policies and will be identified within the Broadcom Lifecycle Matrix.
