Issue/Introduction

When restarting the SpectroSERVER for maintenance in an environment with distributed SpectroSERVERS and VNA integrations, multiple "AN ALARM CAUSED_BY LOOP HAS BEEN DETECTED" alarms appear. These alarms indicate a condition correlation loop where a root cause alarm and a symptom alarm reference each other cyclically. This behavior generates excessive alarm noise.‌

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum 24.3.x ~ 25.4.4

Cause

A code defect (DE176357 / DE165866) exists in the SDN Remote Alarm Forwarding to the SNMP model. The process incorrectly selects the Correlation Manager Model Handle (MH) instead of the device Model Handle, creating a cyclic dependency between the root cause and symptom alarms.

Resolution

Request the Spectrum_25.04.04.D329 debug patch from Broadcom and apply on Spectrum 25.4.4 version.

Request the Spectrum_25.04.05.D333 debug patch from Broadcom and apply on Spectrum 25.4.5 version.
