Issue/Introduction

• Health Checks may be generated similar to

  Carbon Black App Control Agent has a database that is XXXX bytes and is larger than the currently configured safe maximum size of 1000000000 bytes.. FailureId[164]

Environment

• App Control Linux Agent: All Supported Versions

Cause

A Health Check designed to warn of excessive (and unexpected) Agent database size has reached a pre-configured maximum of 1GB. 

Resolution

• If on Agent version 8.8.2 or lower, upgrade to 8.8.4 to resolve an issue with the Agent's database maintenance.
• If on Agent version 8.8.4 or higher, open a case with Support and provide the Agent Historical Logs from a machine actively triggering the Event.

Additional Information

• Uncontrolled Agent cache growth could lead to Agent (or system) instability in some instances.
