Data Center Group references an incorrect Organization VDC name

Issue/Introduction

• After renaming an ovdc it is not updated in datacenter group.
• Organization VDC(OrgVDC) has been renamed.
• The OrgVDC is a member of a data center group (DCG).

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the OrgVDC is renamed. The data center group reference to the OrgVDC name is not updated as part of that rename task which results in the mismatch.

Resolution

To resolve this issue you may perform one of the following actions:

Option 1:

1. Open the Tenant UI and navigate to 'Networking -> Data Center Groups".
2. Click the name of the data center group.
3. On the 'General' tab click the 'Edit' button.
4. In the 'Description' textbox type text. Click the 'SAVE' button.

Option 2:

1. Open the Tenant UI and navigate to 'Networking -> Data Center Groups".
2. Click the name of the data center group.
3. Click the 'SYNC' button on the menu.

The data center group reference to the orgvdc name will refresh to reflect the new value.
