Fixing DNS/Kubernetes Resource Name Compliance Error in VMSP 9.0 GA Deployment

Issue/Introduction

After bootstrapping the cluster, VMSP deployment fails with one of the following error:

Scenario 1: Cluster Name Validation Error

>>> INIT0001 - Validating configuration

Scenario 2: ESXi Datastore Connectivity Error

Environment

VCF Automation 9.0

Resolution

Step 1: Connect to the LCM appliance VM

Use SSH to connect to the lcm appliance VM with root credentials.

ssh root@<lcm_appliance_ip>

**Action:** Enter your `APPLIANCE_ROOT_PASSWORD` when prompted.

Step 2: Navigate to Scripts Directory

Change to the VMSP scripts directory:

cd /data/vmsp/scripts

Step 3: Backup Original File

Always create a backup before modifying system files. This allows easy rollback if needed. Create a backup of the `common.sh` file:

cp common.sh common.sh.backup

Step 4: Create Patch File

Create a new patch file named `patch.tmp` with the following content:
