Issue/Introduction
When running keytool.exe on Windows, the following error is displayed "This app can’t run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher"
The keytool command does not execute, even though the syntax is correct.
Environment
Windows OS (64-bit)
AdoptOpenJDK
Cause
The keytool.exe file is corrupted and has a size of 0 KB due to an incomplete or interrupted Java installation or extraction.
Resolution
Reinstall Java using a supported 64-bit JDK to replace the corrupted keytool
