Issue/Introduction

  • After migrating a virtual machine with the "Secure Boot" option enabled using RAV or HCX vMotion, the "Secure Boot" option becomes disabled.

  • In Bulk Migration, The "Secure Boot" option remains enabled after migration.

Cause

RAV and HCX vMotion do not support the "Secure Boot" option and will transition to disabled after migration completion.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in HCX 4.11.4.

Workaround:

  • Use Bulk Migration when migrating virtual machines with Secure Boot enabled.
  • If you must migrate using RAV or HCX vMotion, power off the virtual machine after migration completes, enable the Secure Boot option, and then power it on.
