VMware Live Recovery

Issue/Introduction

  • When you buy or renew an Advanced Cyber Compliance (ACC) or VMware Live Recovery Cloud subscription, your order is placed on hold in the Broadcom cloud console on Broadcom.
  • If you are a new customer and have purchased a VMware Live Recovery Cloud protected VM subscription and protected capacity subscription, you must release the protected VM subscription first.
  • After you have released the protected VM subscription, you can then release the protected capacity subscription.
  • When you book a new subscription for Advanced Cyber Compliance or VMware Live Recovery Cloud, the Ship To contact person from the purchase contract receives a welcome letter containing instructions for onboarding to the Broadcom cloud console.
  • The welcome email provides an onboarding link that is intended for the person who will manage the subscription and who will assign it to an Organization.
  • If someone who is not managing the subscription receives the email, then that user can click the Alternate Contact link to reassign the email to the correct user.

Environment

VMware Live Recovery 9.x

Resolution

To release an Organization hold:

1. After you purchase your subscription, check your email inbox for your welcome email from Broadcom.

  1. If you are the person managing this subscription, click the first link in the welcome email from Broadcom. If you already have an account with Broadcom, then log in to the Broadcom cloud console.
  2. If you are a new user and you do not have an account with Broadcom, you can create one by following the onscreen instructions. After you create your account, log in to the Broadcom cloud console.
  3. If you are not the manager of the subscription, click the Alternate Contact link to reassign the email to the correct person.

2. When you are logged in to the Broadcom cloud console, you are directed to the Organization Hold page. Click the pencil icon to select an Organization and start

After the subscriptions have been applied to an Organization, it can take up to 24 hours before subscriptions are visible in the VMware Live Recovery console.
