Tanzu Hub Foundation vending failure at "Verifying Foundation Core OVA download status" step after 1 hour

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to deploy a new foundation from Tanzu Hub using the Foundation Vending workflow, after 1 hour it fails on step:

 

"Verifying Foundation Core OVA download status” with the message “ops-manager download workflow still running"

 

Environment

Encountered on Tanzu Hub 10.3.4

Cause

Slow downloads of the OVA from Tanzu NET may take longer than 1 hour. As there is a timeout of 1 hour for the download Opsman OVA activity, this failure may be encountered. The actual download runs in a separate thread, so the download might have actually completed successfully.

Resolution

Retry the foundation vending. This should skip the "Verifying Foundation Core OVA download status" step as the download should be completed.
