You notice that historical job run data is missing from the AAI database after you delete a job from Autosys․ You want to confirm if AAI automatically removes historical data for deleted jobs or if this indicates a configuration issue․
SYMPTOMS:
Historical run data unavailable for deleted Autosys jobs
Job definitions removed from AAI
CONTEXT: Job removed from Autosys scheduler
Automation Analytics & Intelligence (AAI)
AutoSys Scheduler
This behavior is expected design․ AAI synchronizes with the Autosys scheduler definitions to maintain accuracy․
When you delete or rename a job in Autosys, AAI updates its database to reflect these changes during the next synchronization․ This process removes the job definition and all associated historical job runs from AAI․
SYNCHRONIZATION TRIGGERS:
1․ AUTOMATIC CONVERTER RUN
AAI downloads the latest job definitions automatically․
FREQUENCY: Once per day (Default)
2․ MANUAL UPDATE
You can trigger an immediate synchronization․
Action: Click "Update" on the scheduler in the AAI Web UI․
EXPECTED: AAI downloads latest definitions and removes deleted jobs and history․
ROOT CAUSE: The AAI converter downloads the latest job definitions from the scheduler․ If a job is deleted at the source (Autosys), AAI removes the job and its history to ensure the AAI database matches the current scheduler state․
