Issue/Introduction

Hbrsrv service keep crashing.

Environment

vSphere Replication 9.0.2.3

Cause

The "/etc/vmware/hbrsrv.xml" had been modified incorrectly.

 XML comments should start with "<!--" instead of "<--".

Resolution

Restore "/etc/vmware/hbrsrv.xml" from "/etc/ware/hbrsrv.xml.bak" and restart hbrsrv.

Connect to VAMI https://VR_IP:5480 and reconfigure VR with VC.

Reconnect sites in VR UI (https://VR_IP/dr)
