HCX unable to select VM's for migration with a message “Virtual Machine is in queue for migration”

Issue/Introduction

Unable to select the VM's for migration, the option is greyed out and listing the error as "Cannot migrate workload, reason: Virtual Machine is in queue for migration"

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

The affected VM's were not properly cleaned up when a prior migration job about these VMs failed then was archived or deleted. During the validation of VMs to be migrated, references to this migration job are still associated with the VMs, marking them as still being in queue for migration.

Resolution

As the entry of these VM's still present in the HCX DB tables which required DB validation steps.
