We are trying to use the purestorage probe but the api version is not supported

Issue/Introduction

We are getting this error in the logs.

 

Feb 05 11:47:03:449 [BulkSender Monitor, purestorage] Sent NimAlarm C, severity=5, message==<hostname> is not responding (reason: Connection and/or inventory update failure) {The API version 2.50 is unsupported. The Probe supports API versions from 2.10 to 2.33}, subsystem=2.26, suppressionid=<hostname>, source=<source> and received confirmation id <ID>

Environment

uim23.4 and above
and purestorage probe 1.25.

Cause

Release notes:
Probe version 1.25 supports api 2.10-2.33 only.

The probe requests the version of api from the purestorage system. It then hard codes to that version.
API 2.50 deprecated some API 2.33 and 2.10 calls and needed to be updated to support 2.50. 
The probe is not dynamic and only reads the API version on start up. Once set it won't change dynamically 

Resolution

As of 19 Feb 2026, there is a hot fix (1.25_T2) for this that will be merged in the GA version.
Use the latest version if there is a higher GA version in the archive.
