Issue/Introduction

After fresh installation of NCM, jobs are queued for execution.

httpd not running in DS with error "SSL_CTX_use_certificate:ee key too small"

Environment

NCM - 25.x

OS - RHEL 8.x and 9.x

Cause

SSL cert verification failed between AS and DS during registration process. 

Install and Debug log shows no issue on both AS and DS, however syssyncm in AS shows that SSL certificate check failed.

Resolution

1. Run update-crypto-policies --show on both AS and DS.
2. If there is difference in key size bits, update them to same bits as 

   update-crypto-policies --set DEFAULT

   Setting policy to DEFAULT mandates a minimum key size of 2048 bits. 
3. Reboot the server for changes to take effect.
4. Restart vcmaster service on both AS and DS to follow registration to complete.
