Detach the Transport Node Profile from the Cluster:
- Navigate to System > Fabric > Profiles > Host Transport Node Profiles in the NSX-T Manager UI.
- Select the relevant Host Transport Node Profile.
- Detach the profile from the cluster to which it is associated. This action will prevent newly added hosts from automatically becoming transport nodes; however, it will not affect existing transport nodes.
Remove NSX from the Individual Node if the TNP is not attached to the cluster
- Go to System > Fabric > Nodes > Host Transport Nodes in the NSX-T Manager UI.
- Select the specific host you want to remove.
- If the Transport Node Profile is not attached to the cluster, you'll see the "Remove NSX" option.
- Click "Remove NSX" and confirm the action.
- This will remove the NSX configuration from the host.
Remove NSX from the Individual Node if the TNP is attached to the cluster
1. As a best practice move the host of the cluster within the vCenter. This will move the host out of the NSX Cluster and automatically place it in the "Other Node" Section.
