Check-in Process Item Filter Setting not persisting

Issue/Introduction

In an existing Check-in process, the Item Filter setting under Defaults cannot be changed successfully. The Item Filter is preset to “Existing Items Only” and shows the following behavior:

  • When changing the Item Filter to “New and Existing Items”, the value either
    • automatically reverts to “Existing Items Only”, or
    • appears to be saved, but after reopening the configuration dialog, the value is still “Existing Items Only”.

As a result, the Item Filter effectively remains locked to “Existing Items Only”.

Steps:

  1. Open Harvest Administration Workbench
  2. Navigate to Projects
  3. Select a project with an existing Check-in process under a stage
  4. Right-click the Check-in process
  5. Open Properties
  6. Go to the Defaults tab
  7. Change Item Filter from “Existing Items Only” to “New and Existing Items”
  8. Save and close the tab
  9. Reopen the Check-in process properties

Result:

The Item Filter is still set to “Existing Items Only”.

 

Environment

CA Harvest Software Change Manager 14.5.1

Resolution

Kindly contact support for the .jar file and follow the steps below in applying:
 
1. Close all Harvest applications (e.g., Workbench, Administrator).
2. Navigate to the %CA_SCM_HOME%\adminDropins\plugins folder.
3. Back up the existing com.ca.scm.admin_14.5.1.204.jar file.
4. Replace it with the jar file included in the attached zip.
5. Restart the Administrator application and proceed with your operations.
