PingFederate Account Based Integrations Adapter Connection in Aria Operations Fails with Error "Invalid Username or Password"

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to configure an integrations adapter within Aria Operations using a PingFederate-based account, an invalid credential error is received.

Cause

UNSUPPORTED: The integrations adapter workflow does not support federated accounts that require redirects to the federated authentication sources to complete the authentication attempt. 

Resolution

WORKAROUND: Use a local SSO (vsphere.local by default) based service account to authenticate Aria Operations to vCenter.
