Issue/Introduction

Installing CCS and receive the error: "Error 1001. Service im_ccs was not found on computer '.'. --> The specified service does not exist as an installed service." after completing the install wizard.

Cause

Existing registry settings not allowing the CCS install to complete. 

Resolution

Delete the following registry entries:

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Identity Manager\Provisioning Server

to be able to install the CCS properly.

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\slapd

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Identity Manager\Connector Server

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Identity Manager\Provisioning Server
