Issue/Introduction

When attempting to download product binaries or upgrade packages (such as VMware NSX, Aria, or Symantec) from the Broadcom Support Portal, the checkbox next to "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" is disabled or cannot be selected.

  • Hovering over the checkbox or clicking it has no effect.
  • The "Download" button remains inactive.

Environment

 

Cause

The download validation logic requires you to access and view the "Terms and Conditions" document before the consent checkbox becomes interactive. This ensures the terms are presented to the user prior to agreement.

Resolution

To enable the "agree to terms" checkbox and proceed with your download:

  • Navigate to the specific software download page on the Broadcom Support site.
  • Locate the Terms and Conditions hyperlink situated immediately next to the agreement checkbox.
  • Click the Terms and Conditions link. The document will open in a new tab or window.
  • Return to the original download page tab.
  • The checkbox will now be enabled (selectable).
  • Select the checkbox and click the Download button to begin.
