"No Data Providers Configured" or Missing Data Providers in Report Designer

Issue/Introduction

When you try to create a new Report in the Report Designer, in the Select Data Provider section, you get a "No Data Providers configured" message.

Alternatively, even though you see some Data Providers, not all of the Data Providers you have in the Reporting > Data Providers section are displayed.

Cause

The out-of-the-box (OOTB) providers, as well as providers in "Draft" status, are not displayed

Resolution

If you want to reuse an OOTB provider, copy the provider to a new one by right clicking on it, and save it with your preferred name and settings.

You will have to Publish your new Data Provider to be able to use it in the Report Designer (this also applies to a newly created Data Provider that has been copied).
