Unable to stop "Web Service" on HCX Manager via the management interface due to dependent services

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to stop the "Web Service" under HCX Services from the Appliance Summary dashboard (at https://<hcx_manager_ip>:9443), the following message is displayed:

Cannot Proceed
Below dependent components need to be stopped first before stoppping this component:
- Migration Planner Service

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

This issue occurs because the "Migration Planning Service," which has a dependency on the "Web Service," has not been stopped.

Resolution

First, stop the "Migration Planning Service," and then proceed to stop the "Web Service."

Notes:

• It is recommended to avoid performing migrations while the "Migration Planning Service" is stopped.
• Access to https://<hcx_manager_ip>:443 will be unavailable while the "Web Service" is stopped.
