Endpoint Detection and Response is unstable after the upgrade to 4.12

Issue/Introduction

After the upgrade virtual Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to 4.12, The access to WebUI is going from working to maintenance banner, sometimes it lasts longer and allow to login and check some tabs, sometimes after the page refresh it goes to the banner. 

When running status_check, got the following error:

IConfigurationManager::Initialize() failed, SYMCXRESULT = 0x80000003
Is the service running?
 Could not access LiveUpdate server [http://].

 

Environment

EDR 4.12, virtual

Resolution

It is identified as a known issue after upgrade to EDR 4.12 in certain environments, atp-patch5-4.12.0-1 is released to fix it.
Run the below command to verify the patch is available:

patch list -v atp-patch5-4.12.0-1

Then install it with:

patch install atp-patch5-4.12.0-1
