"This capability is not applicable for your license" error when attempting to configure SSO in VCF Operations

Issue/Introduction

• Attempt to configure a VCF Instance from VCF Operation shows the following:
  
  This capacity is not applicable for your licence. Ensure VCF entitlement is assigned for enabling the management capabilities.

  
  
  
  
  
  
• VCF license has been validated and properly applied to the VCF Instance and the vCenter.
  
  
• The Management adapter is successfully syncing the VC license assignment and able to collect the state.

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0
VCF Operations 9.0

Cause

The issue occurs when multiple license records exist in DB for the same VC hostname. The system function incorrectly selects a license that lacks the necessary entitlements instead of the active VCF license.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0.x. Engineering is currently working on a fix which will be included in an upcoming release.
