Issue/Introduction

If you just purchased, or are currently using, VCF, VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) or legacy vSphere software (Standard, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus) and you want to enable Disaster Recovery (without Cyber Recovery), you must obtain a Site Recovery Manager license key from the Broadcom Support Portal.

Resolution

To get a standalone VMware Live Site Recovery license key from the Broadcom Support Portal:

1. Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal with your registered user credentials.
2. From the left navigation, select My Entitlements.
3. In the search bar, select the VMware filter, type VMware Site Recovery Manager and then click Show Results.
4. On the results page, select 'Site Recovery Manager'.
5. Click the software version that you want to use.
6. Select the checkbox to agree to the terms and conditions, and then click and view both terms and conditions links.
7. Click the copy icon to copy the software license key. Save the key in a safe place, as you need it to enable your entitlement.
8. After you copy and save the offline license key, install the license key in your VMware Site Recovery environment to start using the software.
