Error "Invalid network type null for network ..." while deleting an Organization VDC

Issue/Introduction

While trying to delete an Organization VDC from VCD UI, the removal fails with error :

Invalid network type null for network ...

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This issue occurs because of stale child entries in the Cloud Director database that prevent the deletion of an affected Organization VDC from VMware Cloud Director UI.

Resolution

Please contact Broadcom Support for assistance and reference Knowledge Base article 427346.

1. Delete stale entries from VCD database.

2. Delete the Organization VDC again.
