Custom Dashboard/View in Aria Operations not displaying Aria Operations for Logs log ingestion

Issue/Introduction

When creating a custom Dashboard or View in Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations) to display Log Insight Generated Metrics, none of the metrics are displaying for any of the object types (VM, Host System, or vCenter Server).

 

 

 

Environment

VCF Operations 8.18.x

Cause

Aria Operations for Logs is not properly integrated with Aria Operations to send the metrics.  Both products should have an integration for each other.

Resolution

Note: vCenter Server, ESXI Hosts, and Virtual Machines each require their own syslog configuration to send their logging to Aria Operations for Logs.  This information is then sent to Aria Operations for these metrics.
