Tanzu App Advisor license failure on 'advisor upgrade-plan apply'

Issue/Introduction

We have an internal Broadcom BU that had the following error when applying the first step of their upgrade plan:

$ advisor upgrade-plan apply
[ 1 / 3 ] Validating the license of rewrite artifacts [00m 09s] error

Errors
Licensing proj failed with the following message:com.vmware.tanzu.spring.advisor.proc.ProcessRunner$ProcessFailureException: Command: [mvn.cmd site --file C:\Users\username\Documents\Licensing proj\licenses6634297073303819473\pom.xml]

 

Cause

The licensing error stems from an expired token.

Resolution

To make sure you have a valid token, use the instructions for How to generate a token for Spring Enterprise Subscription.
