Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

When configuring protection for a VM you see the following error message:

Operation Failed Operation Error: The replication group associated with 'VM-Name' has the recovery solution 'com.vmware.vcDr'.

Environment

vSphere Replication 9.x

VMware Live Site Recovery 9.x

Cause

This error message is thrown whenever there are multiple SRM instances configured on a vCenter. 

The 'com.vmware.vcDr' is the default extension ID. When multiple SRM instances are configured on a vCenter, there will be a customer extension ID per SRM instance. 

The error message is indicating that the VM replication is does not contain the correct SRM extension ID in order to configure protection via SRM.
