When downloading diagnostic files or session logs from the SSLv appliance System and Load may show a warning on the Dashboard:
Throughput graph may show a drop and traffic and Load graph may show a spike in load.
SSL Visibility deployed resigning and inspecting TLS traffic.
The reason for the dashboard showing this is due to the fact that the core that does the diags and session logs is a shared core.
System load utilization represents any one the highest utilized resources. The core that does the diags and session logs is our "house keeping" core. So, as this core is busy downloading diags or session logs the load for the system may appear high. Again the load represents any on of the highest utilized cores. So one core could be high and the load would be high. This does not mean that all the cores are at 100%.
This also does not affect the other cores on the box, which handle the traffic and other crypto and flow operations.
This has been recognized as a bug to more accurately portray the load measurement. The following bug is fixed in SSLV 6.2.2.1.
SVF-14316 - Enhance load measurement and provide more accurate SNMP monitoring
