Running Datacom/AD 15.1 for CA 7 but CA 7 REST API is not used/installed.
The HOLDDATA section for PTF LU15280 states:
************************** * STEPS TO PERFORM * ************************** Change the HEAPPOOLS statement in the CAYTMAC(CEEUOPT) member or update the CEEOPTS DD statement input stream to the following: HEAPPOOLS(ALIGN, 384,79,624,15,1880,90,4176,90,5752,54,9560,90, 11016,35,13904,86,20048,90,30816,90,32760,90, 64000,90) The workload from the CA7 REST API is unique such that the recommended HEAPPOOLS setting is inefficient and may cause LE storage to become fragmented. When this happens, the Datacom Server mainframe region/address space can use all available storage and fail with some sort of out-of-storage condition. For more information, see the IBM documentation: z/OS LE Programming Guide for 64-bit Virtual Addressing Mode https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos/3.1.0?topic=hso-tuning-heap-storage Copy the above link and paste it into your browser or perform a search for "Tuning heap storage" in IBM doc.
Two questions:
Datacom/AD 15.1 with Datacom Server 15.0 installed (FMID CAYTF00)
Note that PTF LU15280 is for Datacom Server version 15.0 (FMID CAYTF00) but the latest versions of CA 7 REST API (12.1.07 and following) require version 15.1 (FMID CAYTF10), as version 15.0 is no longer supported since 2025-05-31. See the following documents:
