Running a precheck on upgrading the VCF Management environment fails

Issue/Introduction

• You want to upgrade from 9.0.0 to 9.0.1 or higher.
• Every attempt to run a precheck on upgrading the VCF Management environment fails with this error:
  Http failure response for https://<vcf-operations-server>/vcf-operations/plug/sddc-108/plugin/api/v1/system/check-sets: 500 OK

 

Environment

VCF 9.0.0

Cause

Fleet Manager must be upgraded before the VCF Management components can be upgraded.

Resolution

1. Upgrade Fleet Manager as per the patching process:
   Patch VCF Operations Fleet Management 
   
   
2. Re-run the prechecks for VCF Management

Additional Information

If you attempt to Upgrade Fleet manger from Lifecycle > Settings > Upgrade and it tells you that it is already on the latest version, this is a known issue: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/425279/attempts-to-upgrade-vcf-fleet-management.html
