Issue/Introduction

Issue when accessing VMware Cloud Director Service Library since upgrading Aria Orchestrator to version 8.18.1.

Bad request: Error obtaining delegate token

Bad request: Error obtaining delegate token

If we do edit the Registration under Service Management we see this error messages:

AUTO DISCOVER: Can't Auto Discover vCenter

If we click OK we receive the following banner error:

Invalid VRO request params.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1 & 10.6.1.1

Cause

Known compatibility issue between Cloud Director10.6.1 (and 10.6.1.1) with Aria Orchestrator 8.18.1.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in Cloud Director version 10.6.1.2 (with integration with Aria Orchestrator 8.18.1)

Workaround:

Remove stale entries in Cloud Director Database from previous Aria Orchestrator registration in relation to the Service Library.

Connect to the Primary Database cell via SSH and run:

db

Clean up stale entries from the previously registered Aria Orchestrator integration (reach out to VMware Cloud Director Support by raising a Broadcom Support ticket to address this).

Connect to External Aria Orchestrator node and run:

vracli vro authentication wizard

Select "vSphere":

Provide the vSphere Hostname, admin username, admin password, Administrator group( vsphere.local) and Administrator group name (Administrators)
Next, Accept the Certificate
Then redeploy the Aria Orchestrator services:

/opt/scripts/deploy.sh

Follow the steps from the following KB to register the vRO with vCenter Authentication:

Scheduled workflows does not get triggered with the status shows as pending or error

Lastly, we ensure that the vsphere "Administrators" groups has permissions on Aria Orchestrator by:
Aria Orchestrator > Administration User Groups > enter "vsphere.local / Administrator" > Add

We can now see Workflows and Actions being represented correctly in the Service Library in Cloud Director and in Aria Automation.
