CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Issue/Introduction

One of the options for deployment of CA PAM used to be to purchase a hardware appliance already configured with the CA PAM

The latest hardware appliance sold was hardware series X404L

Is there a replacement for the existing X404L appliances, or are they still for sale ?

Resolution

Broadcom ceased to sell hardware appliances as of version 4.2.2 of the product. Therefore it is not possible to purchase new hardware appliances or to upgrade the existing ones to a new version.

The already purchased hardware appliances will be covered by Warranty against legitimate physical issues for as long as their warranty or extended warranty is valid.

The installed CA PAM will be supported for as long as it corresponds to a supported version of the product as of the date the issue is reported. Existing CA PAM installations in functioning hardware appliances can be upgraded to newer versions of the product if they meet the necessary upgrade requirements laid out in the product documentation for each release

If a hardware-based appliance is required, it is recommended to deploy a physical machine with KVM and install CA PAM on top of it
