In the vCenter task list, this error continues to appear, as shown below, even though HCX is not deployed in the environment.

/var/log/vmware/vsphere-ui/logs/vsphere_client_virgo.log, we can see the errors similar as shown below[ERROR] sdk-plugin-deployer-## com.vmware.vise.plugin.status.RemotePluginStatusServiceImpl DOWNLOAD_FAILED: Error downloading plugin package com.vmware.vsphere.update.manager.client:#.#.#.# from https://<vCenter-server-fqdn>:443/vci/downloads/vum-ui/plugin.zip. Reason: URL is unreachable. Make sure that the URL is reachable. com.vmware.vise.plugin.download.PluginDownloadException: org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException: status code: 503, reason phrase: Service Unavailable
Note: This behavior is not specific to HCX 4.9.2 and may occur across different HCX versions.

vCenter is attempting to download or refresh a registered plug-in, but the configured plug-in URL is not reachable as its not deployed in the environment.
Remove the unwanted HCX plugin from VMware vCenter Server. For more information, please refer to the following KB: 317510: Option 1 or 2
