Issue/Introduction

In RC/Migrator for Db2 for z/OS (RCM), an Alter Strategy is created altering a table on a Source SSID, then an ICL analysis (I) is performed on the Alter strategy.

Next a 'G' is placed next to the ICL to perform an ICL-DDL Group Analysis with the Target SSID being a remote SSID.

The SYSIBM.LOCATIONS information is in the SETUPxx member if the remote location has been defined to the source SSID specification

The following error occurs:

RMA775W FULLTREE processing mode active, reason=ICLTODDL
RMA016E CALL ATTACH ERROR - RC=0000006D, RCODE=0000008F, Lib open
      error for FDRE R15=0000008F R0=00000000 R1=00000000

MIGRATOR ANALYSIS COMPLETED, RETURN CODE =  12

Resolution

In RC/Migrator the ALTER strategy was created and an ICL analysis was done.

Placing a 'G' next to the ICL for an ICL-DDL Group Analysis brings up the following screen.

For a REMOTE target :

  •     Under 'Target Specifications', for the SSID specify the SOURCE SSID (Example:  xxxx)    < Very Important
  •     Under 'Target Specifications', for the LOCATION, specify the TARGET Location name from SYSIBM.LOCATIONS that been defined under the source SSID in the SETUPxx member    <   Example:  yyyyyyyy
  •     This same rule applies for a regular 'A' analysis.
