Unable to take a quiesced snapshot

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to take a snapshot of a Windows VM with 'quiesce guest filesystem' enabled results in a successful snapshot, however it is not quiesced.

Cause

The OS Type is misconfigured in vSphere.

Resolution

Ensure the VM OS Type in vSphere is configured to match the running OS of the VM:

1. Power off the impacted VM
2. In vCenter, right click the impacted VM
3. Select 'Edit Settings'
4. Go to 'VM Options'
5. Expand 'General Options'
6. Select the correct 'Guest OS Family' and 'Guest OS Version' for the VM.
7. Click 'OK'
8. Power on the VM
9. Retry the quiesced snapshot
