In Aria Operations, Windows Server 2022 virtual machines (VMs) are not appearing as expected within the License Cost Driver screen. This prevents administrators from accurately assigning or calculating licensing costs for workloads running this specific operating system version.
Attempting to update License prices on cost drivers and found counts for Windows and RHEL were incorrect
This is also impacting Windows Server 2025 and RHEL 7/8/9.
Environment
VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x
Resolution
This is a limitation in Aria Operations. Fixed in VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0 and higher. See Download Broadcom products and software for steps to download this release.
To workaround the issue if upgrade to VCF 9.0 and higher not possible in current time, contact Broadcom Support and note this Article ID (426893) in the problem description. For more information, see Creating and managing Broadcom support cases.
